Why PCR-tested PL is worth paying for

A crop is only as healthy as the seed it starts with. Post-larvae carrying White Spot (WSSV), EHP or AHPND can look normal but seed a disaster weeks later, after you have already spent on feed, power and labour.

PCR testing screens a PL batch for these pathogens before it leaves the hatchery. A batch that tests negative and passes a salinity/formalin stress test is far more likely to survive the pond. This is why serious hatcheries test every batch and why farmers should ask for the report.

Traceability closes the loop: a unique batch ID on every PL lot, tied to its PCR and stress-test results, lets a farmer verify exactly what they are stocking — and lets a hatchery prove the quality it is selling.
